We had this e-mail this morning: "Just a quick email to let you know the Artisan Market at the Convento this weekend has been cancelled due to lack of interest. Hope this doesn´t ruin anyones plans. NEWS UPDATES and tidbits
Some news items we posted in August, need some updating, so here goes, with links to the original item:
- The Italian skysurfer who slammed into a wall in Tarifa on Sunday is still in the ICU but is out of danger and stabilized.
- Gibraltar removes all Nurofen Plus products from pharmacies on the Rock, after it was revealed in the UK that several other substances have been found in these packets and sabotage is suspected.
- National Police have closed the case of the Algeciras businessman who was killed in a home invasion with seven people under arrest.
- The Al Qaeda man arrested in La Linea in mid August was planning to poison water supplies at campsites and tourist resorts. He remains in custody.

Ballena Blanca, Málaga's largest corruption/money laundering court case, continued last week after 'delays'. La Línea offers tourism at Miami Cruise Fair. News update
- Spain takes over Presidency of European Union for six months. Sevilla, Córdoba, Málaga, Granada and Cádiz scheduled to host related events, meetings or functions. Zapatero promises to make Europe's economy more productive, innovative and sustainable.- Algeciras man arrested near San Roque for driving the wrong way on A-7 with four times the legal alcohol limit.
- Algeciras has a new Civil court and an additional judge. Court number 4, though, begins the year without a judge and no phones.
- Los Barrios municipal workers renew protests at not having been paid thei annual bonus. Announce stronger measures if situation continues.>
