'Rhea' leaves Algeciras for Greece after repairs and €200,000 'bail'

(Agencies) The 'Rhea', which ran aground in Algeciras during a storm in January having rejected help several times, has left port headed for a shipyard in Greece. Capitanía Marítima had found 24 serious defects after it was eventually towed in to Algeciras, which have been repaired. Capitanía had also set 'bail' at €200.000 against expenses involved in the rescue operations, which has been paid. The 'Rhea' is Greek-owned under a Panamanian flag, with an Egyptian crew.
