A national strike by public service employees has been called for next Tuesday, June 8. The funcionarios include municipal, regional and national civil servants, ranging from street cleaners to teachers and from health care workers to court officials, to name a few. According to law, minimum services must be maintained at all levels, but we can expect little enthusiasm from those who must remain at their posts. Information on what will remain open but functioning at minimal capacity can be obtained from town halls, Junta offices, courts, etc. as well as on their websites.
