SAN ROQUE / photo: EuropaSur Fire broke out at about 9pm last night on Sierra Carbonera, near the A-7 and close to the El Toril crossings, causing consternation among residents of San Roque. The fire came under control early this morning, but among other things, firefighters had to ascertain that fighting bulls had not escaped their pastures at Cortijo El Águila nearby, where staff and owners (sons of local bullfighting hero Miguelín) had to be evacuated as a precaution. This is the second fire in San Roque in a week and the fourth in the Campo de Gibraltar this summer.
