ALGECIRAS (Press release) The Local Police stopped two men on calle Pablo Díaz for stealing six manhole covers from calle Galicia, in the La Bajadilla area. They were detained as they headed for a junk yard to sell them, carrying them in a wheelbarrow (with some dificulty, we imagine). The police then called the water company, Emalgesa, to whom the covers were returned and then put back into place. (Prospro note: La Bajadilla is one of the town's less salubrious of places...)
