GIBRALTAR (Panorama) It was revealed yesterday that an 11-year old child taken into care by the Social Services Agency ended up in an acute psychiatric adult ward at KGV where most patients are suffering from a range of serious psychiatric conditions. A Consultant Psychiatrist said the child was suffering from a conduct disorder - naughty behaviour, in lay terms - but not from mental illness. Besides, the hospital had a policy of not admitting under 16-year olds. So what was this vulnerable child doing there, apart from being arproached and made sexual proposals by a patient and kicked by another, and found in a bathroom with a patient who was half naked "and we suspect cannabis was being used."
