Boy dies in crash, father was driving

CASTELLAR A nine-year-old boy was killed in a car crash on the CA-9201 road that leads to the castle. The boy was travelling in the back of his father's Daewo Lanos, when it came off the road and hit a tree. His father was hurt and had to be taken to hospital. The incident took place at about 8pm yesterday and required the presence of several units of fire rescue personnel because both father and son had to be cut out of the vehicle. The child was dead when they arrived, and the father, severely injured, could not get out of the car. The report does not specify if the child was wearing a seat belt or any other protective equipment.
