GIBRALTAR (Agencies) An American sailor on shore leave from the nuclear submarine USS New Hampshire hit an RGP officer and bit a bystander in a drunken brawl in Irish Town recently. Juvenal Ramirez, 23, was ordered to pay a £500 fine and faces disciplinary procedures on board his vessel. The US Navy sub, and 160 crew, arrived in Gibraltar on August 24 and was the subject of controversy in the Spanish media for its nuclear capability.
