Woman knifed to death by mugger, now arrested

ALGECIRAS (Agencies) A woman was knifed when she resisted a mugger in the entrance to her building. María del Mar Sevilla, 56, died yesterday at the Punta de Europa Hospital, three hours after she was attacked by a knife-wielding man who tried to take her handbag as she was entering her building. The incident happened shortly before noon at Parque Bolonia, 10. Police sources announced that the alleged attacker, J.A.M.D., 23, was arrested not long afterwards in a room behind a shop that belongs to his family, in the Reconquista section of town. He will be in court this morning.
