(Agencies) The president of the community of orange growers of San Martín del Tesorillo, José Sánchez, has issued a statement in which he says that although his area lost 90% of its crop because of heavy winter rains, and the area was declared 'catastrophic', the Junta de Andalucía has yet to "put a single euro on the table." The crop, according to Sánchez was calculated at around 80 million kilos. The rains (type 'weather' into the search facility at the top of the sidebar) came down most heavily in December and February last, at the height of the orange harvest. Naturally, it also affected other areas such as San Pablo and the Guadiaro valley in general, where the damage was significant to homes, roads and groves alike.
