'Alliance' of independent candidates, not a political party

GIBRALTAR (GibChronicle) Barrister Robert Vazquez (photo) who for some time now has been indicating a desire to get involved in politics and recently resigned from the Financial Services Commission, has published a manifesto he has described as “14 Core Principles of the Coalition of Independents for Reform.” His political proposal includes the creation of a loose grouping of independent candidates, an “alliance” which would fall short of becoming a fully fledged political party. Among its other proposals will be increasing the number of MP’s to 25, the creation of an anti-corruption authority, and a “Commissioner of Fundamental Rights.”
