CANNES (Agencies) Spanish actor Antonio Banderas, at the Cannes Film Festival to present Pedro Almodovar's latest film La piel que habito (The Skin I Live In), admitted to the Italian edition of OK magazine, that two years ago he had been diagnosed with a tumour in his back. In an exclusive interview with the magazine, Banderas said that one day, drying himself after a shower, he noticed a bulge in his back. A visit to the doctor revealed that the bulge was a tumour "the size of a fist". Two days after that, he was on an operating table to remove the neoplasia for tests. The tumour turned out to be benign, says the actor, who concluded, "Listen to your body carefully. Feel it, touch it. If you have any doubt at all, run to the doctor. An early diagnosis can save your life."
