New access road for Gibraltar 'in emergency planning'

LA LÍNEA / GIBRALTAR (Agencies / Photo: GibChronicle) Spain's Miniostry of Development, through its Roads Department, is planning to make changes in the access to the Rock via a national road, the N-351, which is in the Ministry's jurisdiction. This would principally impact goods vehicles, which until now had to use a municipal road, thus restricting the ministry's jurisdiction. Although there were no significant problems at the border yesterday, new signs put up by La Línea, did lead to some confusion. According to the Ministry the new access would have three lanes, one of which would be used exclusively by goods vehicles, and is in the 'emergency planning' stage.
